Oil-Based Semi-Transparent Gloss Exterior Restoration & New Construction
Brings weathered logs back to life.
Transformation was engineered for restoration - and it shows. Chemically compatible with virtually any previously applied stain, it is the professional choice when a home's stain history is unknown or mixed. Its oil-based formula penetrates deep, bonding with wood fiber to create a flexible, high-gloss protective film. The longer open time prevents lap marks even on large log walls, and the result is a stunning, consistent gloss finish that makes even aged, weathered logs look as though they were stained last season. Equally effective on new construction.

Whether you're matching an existing color, complementing a stone chimney or metal roof, or have a vision no catalog color captures - we'll create it.
We've created exclusive colors for clients across Shields Valley, Paradise Valley, and the Bozeman area - colors mixed in-house and colors produced with the manufacturer that didn't exist until we asked for them.
Every log home is different. The species of your logs, the direction your walls face, the elevation of your property, and the palette of the landscape around you all shape what a color actually looks like on your home.
Four Things That Shape the Right Color for Your Home
Your Wood Species
Pine absorbs more stain and reads lighter than cedar. Cedar's natural redness pushes reds and golds warmer than they appear on a chip. Douglas fir's pronounced grain adds depth to any tone. The right color for your home depends on what it's being applied to.
Your Exposure
South and west walls receive far more UV than north and east walls. The color and finish system you choose for these high-exposure faces matters and annual maintenance keeps your protection intact regardless of which color you select.
Your Elevation
Montana properties above 5,000 feet receive significantly more UV radiation than valley-floor homes. The finish system for a Shields Valley or Paradise Valley property needs to account for this - it's one of the reasons UV Boost is standard on high-altitude applications.
